An eye clinic for senior citizens at the Imboolpitiya Estate

The MJF Charitable Foundation worked with Helpage Sri Lanka to carry out an eye clinic at the Imboolpitiya Estate on March 23 and 24. A group of 261 senior citizens benefitted from this clinic which specially targeted Dilmah plantation workers who have retired after the completion of their tenure at the age of 55. Imboolpitiya, located in Nawalapitiya, is an estate in the Kahawatte Plantations group. The Plantation Programme is part of Dilmah founder Merrill J. Fernando's efforts to provide Dilmah plantation workers better living conditions and access to the basic amenities in life.
