Moratuwa – Yoga is not just an exercise it is a full body experience and technique that helps calm, focus and help ALL people increase their awareness of self as well as their environment. Our young men and women of the Rainbow Centre for Children and Young People with Disabilities will lead participants on a one hour journey of self awakening.

MRT – Pottery is a traditional art that has been practiced in Sri Lanka for thousands of years. Our women of the WDP come from some of the most vulnerable communities and low income areas of Sri Lanka and have been especially trained by a master potter to convert this art form into a blossoming enterprise. Moratuwa - Cricket is Sri Lanka’s most popular sport. Join the boys and girls of the Cricket Life Foundation as they teach you how to play the game. Learn how to bat, bowl and play with both a tennis ball or leather ball. Also learn about the discipline, skills and training it takes to become a successful cricketer and play against another team in a 6 over match.
None – if you have a disability or trouble running, we will provide a runner for you. Suitable for ages 7 and above. Can be played with Sports shoes or barefoot for the real experience.

Moratuwa – If you think Curry is hard to make, let the budding chefs of the Empower Culinary & Hospitality school persuade you otherwise. The current intake of the school will teach vegan, vegetarian and meat dishes that are either Fusion island cuisine influenced over the ages by the Portugese, Dutch, Malay, Arab and English visitors to the island. Sample the various dishes accompanied by traditional varieties of rice native to Sri Lanka. Empower Culinary & Hospitality School was created to provide young men and women from low income families with an opportunity to receive a world class culinary education that prepares them for any international 5 star hotel kitchen.

Moratuwa – We paint everything and together we create joint community art that can be enjoyed by own participants as well as future visitors. Join the after schools children’s programme MJF Kids and the Rainbow Centre as they work with you on a colourful splattered masterpiece

Moratuwa – We recycle everything. In 2018 the MJF Centre in Moratuwa is committed to becoming a zero waste facility. Waste material from the Dilmah headquarters is recycled here. Tea becomes compost, pallets become furniture and useful knick knacks and tea sacks become décor, art work etc. Come and work with our young women and men as they help you create your own upcycled/recycled souvenir from Sri Lanka

Moratuwa – Sri Lanka is rich in folklore and in traiditional puppet making. Learn a little bit about Sri Lanka’s history of puppet making, watch a small folkloric play, learn popular folk songs and then learn how to handle the puppets – creating your own version of Sri Lankan folklore theatre!

Moratuwa – Our carpentry unit are experts in creating masterpieces from pallets. From easy puzzles to complex pieces of furniture, work with the young men and women of the unit and their guru on creating your own souvenir from Sri Lanka.
