Foundation programmes of assistance range from vocational training for women and children in English, Cooking, Sewing etc., The Foundation also provides training and placement for plumbers, electricians etc., from underprivileged backgrounds.
Other programmes involves education and childcare, nutrition, training for fisher communities in adding value to their catch, in catching fish in an environmentally sustainable manner. The Foundation also assists the Government of Sri Lanka by providing training for Health officers key rural healthcare personnel and others in identifying, understanding and menagaing AIDS, post traumatic stress and other health concerns.

The Foundation will provide basic accommodation where required whilst we would expect volunteers to fund their air travel, insurance, medical requirements and also meet the cost of food and beverage whilst in the field. Costs in Sri Lanka are nominal, especially in areas where Foundation programmes operate. |
