My name is Wazeem Rahumath, I am a member of the MJF Childrens programme. We went to the zoo last August before the school holidays.

There were more than 100 friends of our Kids Group. We went with our teachers and leaders.We started the trip in the morning at lam. We got short eats and milk for breakfast.

Then we went to the planetarium at Colombo 7. There was a very valuable show about planets. We all learnt unknown things about the planets. Then we went to the zoo. It was our second time.

We all were taken into the "Min Medura" first, there were hundreds of colourful fish. Mr. Reggie explained about them.

Then we went to other areas systematically, the birds, reptiles, mammals etc. We got to know many new things. We had our lunch there. Finally we watched the elephants dance, and we also sang songs and danced.

We then had our evening snack and returned to our homes.
