  Pahan Tharuwa 2005

Pahan Tharuwa, means in Sinhala, Ray of Light. It signifies the hope that every MJF Charitable Foundation project aims to engender. First held in 2001, shortly after the declaration of peace in Sri Lanka, Pahan Tharuwa has become an annual event, hosting children of a 20-year conflict - from the 'border villages', slum children afflicted with extreme poverty and psychosocial problems, and this year 'children of the tsunami', to a Day of Joy.
