The Foundation activities are usually wholly funded by the Settlor, Merrill J. Fernando. Well wishers who wish to add to the Foundation´s programmes or work with the Foundation to initiate a separate programme within the overall objectives of the Foundation, may do so by making donations in cash or kind. Any such donation could be discussed previously with the Trustees by emailing us on foundation@dilmahtea.com.
We would prefer if donations were linked to specific projects of the donor´s preference, and we shall provide detailed reports confirming utilization of funds as required, and indicating the benefits your donation has generated. The Trustees of the Foundation wholeheartedly thank the many Dilmah Consumers, Partners and well wishers who have pledged assistance and support especially in relation to Foundation Tsunami Disaster Relief programmes.
We urge you not to send credit card details via email, and instead ask that anyone who wishes to make a donation, do so by utilising our secure online payment gateway facilitated by HSBC. Donations could also be transmitted to the following MJF Charitable Foundation account through a bank transfer. Please make your donation in United States Dollars only and in order to ensure that we track and locate funds transmitted, please advise us via email to foundation@dilmahtea.com. Kindly also include in the bank transfer, as a reference, your name and contact details.
All donations will be acknowledged and a statement of utilization posted on this website.
